This assignment asks you to select a moment of personal insight and learning that you encountered in your assigned readings. This can be anything encountered in the text or other assigned learning materials.
(1) Describe the topic
(2) Describe your knowledge of and/or experience with the issue prior to the learning episode, (what did you know about this topic (if anything) before this course?)
(3) Describe the way in which your understanding of health policy was changed as an outcome of this learning episode (how do you better understand this topic now?)
(4) Discuss how the new learning could influence your behavior as a health care professional. Be specific and give examples. Mention any implications there might be for U.S. health policy.
Since everyone has different learning needs and what one person considers a learning episode may not be significant to another person, there are no right, or wrong choices as long as the paper clearly relates to an objective of this course and follows the directions above. The paper will be written in the first person and referenced in APA format, so that the source of your insight (text, assigned article or video) is identified clearly.
These three papers will be graded on how well they meet the criteria listed above as well on as grammar, spelling, APA format, application to course objective and content. (2 pages (double-spaced 12-point font and one-inch margin all around). Please use headings to separate the sections of the paper (See 1-4 above)
