Assignment: Europes role in the Cold War
[ad_1]
Assignment: Europes role in the Cold War has sometimes been described as that of a helpless pawn caught between superpowers. Chose one of the topics below ( Hungarian Revolution) and using evidence from primary and secondary sources, write a 4 to 5 page paper. The paper should include appropriate context describing events connected with the Hungarian Revolution and provide an interpretation of whether European actions had an impact on the direction of the Cold War. In final form you should use between 1-3 primary sources and 4-6 secondary sources while researching your project. You must include at least 1 book as part of your secondary sources. No Encyclopedias, Web Encyclopedias, Textbooks or class notes should be used as research material. Any information taken from class lectures is considered general knowledge and need not be documented. All sources used in the formation of your paper should be displayed in a separate Sources Consulted page at the end of your paper in the following format taken from Turabian or Chicago Manuel of Style. I expect you to use direct quotes to help answer the questions posed by the paper. A general rule of thumb is no more than 3 quotes per page. Please document all direct quotes and paraphrases using either footnotes in the paper or endnotes on a separate page placed before the Sources Consulted page Remember that each quotation needs their own individual footnote or endnote and should be in sequential order (1,2,3 etc.). Please do not restart your numbering on every page. Primary Sources- 2.
