In healthcare we have become more specialized and more divided. Each unit seems to have a specific focus and no longer are general Med-Surg floors taking up the bulk of acute care facilities. Using what we’ve learned this week discuss if you believe this is a good thing or a bad thing for the nursing profession.

Is it detrimental to patient care to have nurses caring for complex patients who focus specifically on specific systems.
