Option 1: Evaluate the current state of diversity policies and practices in the company you are working for.

Option 2: If you are not working for an international company please evaluate a company that you can find on internet which you can learn their policies and practices of diversity.

Option 3:  Please evaluate the policies and practices of diversity at AMSIB.

For the option you chose above please evaluate the following, but not limited to:

• Categories/dimensions of diversity
• Benefits of diversity in this workplace/school
• Issues that the workplace/school is facing

Please be specific with your examples.  Do NOT write a generic statement such as “my company benefits from the creativity of the diversity”.

A good evaluation is a statement as follows:

• Gender Dimension of diversity:  My company has a quota of 40% of women in management board.

1. If you think that they can take specific actions to increase diversity in order to increase benefit from diversity in this workplace please describe your action plans.  A generic action such as ‘organize training’ is not a good action plan.  It needs to be specific:

A good action is a statement as follows:

– Training the brain for goal:  Practice name-blind recruitment process.

How do you construct the assignment:

• Always start with a concept or headline taken from the chapter and underline it before your analysis.
• Your examples and cases can/ should be supported with references such as links to the original sources and pictures.
• The maximum word count for each option is 1000 words.
• In the peer-review process, please make sure you get feedback from your team and the tutor.
