Review of an Art Exhibition
Directions: Find a gallery or museum exhibition online and write a review of it as if it were for a newspaper of general magazine or online site like Artsy. In other words, write a review that tells non-art or general populations what an exhibition is like and give your own opinion of the work and the way it’s displayed. If you don’t see images of the actual hanging of the work, just images of individual pieces, you won’t be able to address the last issue. But there are many shows that do give you photos of how the work looks on the walls and you might want to try to find one of those.

It may take a little exploration to find what you’re looking for but it’s out there. Be creative. Museums like the Met in NY or MoMA or Whitney or Guggenheim are places to start. Most big cities have their own museum or galleries you can find through Google or another search engine.

Look at a few of those before you write your own. A successful review would be at least a page, 12 pt. font, double or 1.5 line spaced. Include a link to the exhibition you are writing about and one image from the show if it will let you download (sometimes the website won’t allow it).
