Details:
Your Plan should describe how you will go about leading change in an organization so that it is a success. You will develop a plan (strategy, tactics, message, etc.) to introduce analytics into this organization, to implement the insights of the analytics work and eventually widen the impact of analytics there.
You should think of this as your own private plan. It should be written under the assumption that it would not be shown to others in the organization. What you would present to others is in the Your Pitch presentation, which is a separate assignment.
The target of the plan is the organization that you selected at the beginning of the semester, and the project is the CSR project that you developed in Checkpoints 1 and 2, and your plan to expand the impact that you described in Checkpoint 2.
Additional Details and Instructions
Use the Change Canvas as a guide for creating your Final Plan. The Change Canvas is a framework to ensure that you have considered all aspects of the change situation. It is not a template to be completed.
Since it is for this course, the plan focuses on your strategy for change, not the details of the analytics work itself. Any material that is from another course will be ignored – except if it takes up too much space of your paper, in which case it will result in a penalty.
You should cite or make reference to the principles of the readings or class lectures that are relevant to the plan.
The paper should use full sentence format with proper grammar and punctuation in 12-point font (e.g. Arial, Times New Roman). It should not exceed 10 double-spaced pages. Use APA format to cite sources.
This is an individual, not a team, assignment.
Assessment
This assignment will be evaluated on the thoroughness with which you have addressed the topics covered in the course — in other words, what evidence is there of how much you learned and how well you applied what you learned? In particular, it should describe both the steps you will take and the message you will provide to various kinds of people whose behavior needs to change.
The paper should make clear that you are able to:
1. Select and support your choice of the most appropriate ways of changing the behavior of an organization, so that both the analytics program and its results are adopted
2. Introduce analytics into an organization
3. Recognize and support the conditions to sustain organizational change
4. Articulate the role of analytics not only as a tool for better decisions, but also as part of a larger effort to create a learning organization
