Drawing on your prior knowledge of philosophical concepts (including utilitarianism, deontology, virtue ethics, rationalism, empiricism, postmodernism, idealism, and materialism), write a 3- to 4-page paper that explores one of the suggested philosophical questions below, or a similar question of your own choosing that is of particular interest to you. Note that if you select a question not on the list, be sure to ask your faculty Subject Matter Expert for approval of your question.

In your paper, be sure to include a central thesis and at least three supporting arguments informed by one or more of the philosophical concepts you have learned about. Refer to Guidelines on Writing a Philosophy Paper for more information. Use evidence pulled from academic sources to support your arguments. Finally, provide a reference list of all your cited sources.
