Hello, This assignment is for the course Human geography.
For this assignment, is to find and closely read 3 academic articles that use social research methods to study a
human geographic research topic of interest to you.
-You need to decide to use predominantly quantitative or qualitative methods
1. Identify your Topic area
2.Share the full citation of the research article
3.Below each article identify and report on the research designs, methods, and sampling/engagement
approaches that are used in them, as well as their key findings. You can use headings if helpful or just
paragraph format. You are encouraged to use your textbook and class materials to help classify the various
research designs, methods and findings. Strong papers will briefly reflect on the way that the methods selected
influence the conclusions drawn in the article.
4.Each article description should be approximately 250-400 words (Total for this section 750-1200 words).
5.Draw some conclusions about your topic area from the papers you have read (400-500 words). What do we
know about this topic? What remains unknown? What methods have been used to explore this topic? Strong
assignments will include some critical reflection about the existing state of knowledge and the approaches
used to arrive at this.
6.xfter you read and assess the three articles you will write a brief (200-500 word) explanation for the argument
and a draft research question for a social research study that you think could be done next.
