Obesity and high blood pressure are often underlying medical conditions which continue to affect Georgia’s health status. According to Department of Health (2019) in Georgia morbidity, premature mortality and rates of preventive diseases are linked to level of education, socio-economic status, primary care providers shortage. Infant mortality was twice higher in cases where mom had high school diploma or less. Shortage in primary care providers in 57 counties of GA lead to increase of preventable diseases.
