They removed the words “Starbucks” and “coffee”. Doing so allowed them to tap into other products such as breakfast bars and teas. It also allowed them to sell their products at other places such as grocery stores. A final way that they innovated was by investing in new brewing systems. The new brewing system that they used resulted in a better tasting coffee than the traditional brewing system. With the better taste came a 30 cent increase in price, making customers prefer to spend more on coffee from the new system.
