Your paper must be 10-12 pages plus a title and reference page.
All assignments MUST be typed, double-spaced, in APA style, and must be written at graduate level English.
Individuals with eating disorders often present with another co-occurring psychiatric disorder. Your final paper must include:
1. Current, evidence-based research on the comorbidity of a DSM-5 eating disorder and another DSM-5 disorder (see examples below for topics to choose).
2. Research on the significance of neurobiology, genetic, sociocultural, familial, environmental and other relevant factors.
3. Evidence-based treatment from different theories and modalities. Address how these modalities would address both or one of the co-occurring disorders.
You are required to use a minimum of eight (8) current (less than 5 years old), evidence-based research articles taken from hard copy or online scholarly, peer reviewed journals. You are encouraged to use the university library. Contact the university librarian if you need assistance.
Your writing must present your understanding and synthesis of the research, citing your sources in APA format.
