Some Background:

I’ve been interested in IO psychology specifically since I took careers in psychology in Fall 2019. I’ve had a lot of exposure to IO psychology within my family’s businesses. I was 15 years old when I started to get involved in them, but it was in 2015 when I was able to become fully immersed in the different companies. During this time, I realized the importance of having strong human resources and management, even for small businesses. One of the things that stood out to me the most was experiencing how harmful it is to a company to lack a work environment that fosters creativity, cooperation, and employee satisfaction. When I learned about the field of IO psychology last year, I found it to be perfect for me based on my previous experience.
