The capstone project is patient education to improve fluid management in patients with end-stage renal disease. Sharing the findings on the efficacy of the patient education intervention in reducing fluid overload and other related complications would be important in advancing its application in clinical settings, consequently optimizing patient experience and clinical outcomes. For this project, the internal dissemination method I would use is sharing the information with the hospital board.
The hospital board is made up of employees, including nurses, physicians, and other professionals involved in inpatient care. Specifically, a face-to-face meeting will be ideal for disseminating the findings from the research. The choice of this dissemination method is because it allows for interaction and instant feedback, especially during questioning sessions. On the other hand, publishing the findings in a reputable journals, such as the American Journal of Nursing, would be ideal for the external stakeholder. Publishing nursing research findings is appropriate because it reaches a large target (Williams & Cullen, 2016). Nurse researchers use these journal articles to develop evidence-based practices. The communication strategies used would differ in the two groups. In disseminating the results to the hospital board, I would use simple vocabulary and body language to engage with the stakeholders. On the other hand, I will use research vocabulary in preparing the report for publication.
