Week 9 Activity – Hiring Leaders
Overview
Hiring people with a leadership style that will fit well within your organization is an important skill to master. For this activity, you will explore what makes a good leader and how you might identify those traits in potential applicants. This topic is one of four aspects of leadership that you will explore for next week’s Leadership Training Webinar assignment.
Instructions
Complete a 1–2 paper in which you:
- Describe the traits and behaviors of effective leaders.
- Explain how you can search for and detect these traits and behaviors in hiring leadership talent.
Note: For your assignment due next week, you will need to cite at least three credible, relevant, and appropriate sources to support your writing. As you conduct your research for this activity, make sure you save any sources you might be able to use for that assignment.
