1.For this assignment, you need to either watch the state or local news two or three times and/or read a few articles in Texas based newspapers. Then, I want you to write a 2-4 paragraph critique over where we are in the State of Texas. For instance: what is important in/on our news? What actually happens in this state?
The other way to write this short essay is to pick one event of merit that you think sums up Texas today and discuss the who/what/when/where/why of it all.
You need to use at least 2-3 reputable resources to support your essay and make sure to cite those sources accordingly.
2.For this assignment, you will need to read chapter 1 in your text. What I am looking for in this assignment is for you describe 10 things that you learned from the chapter (as well as why this is important). You will also need to write a 1-2 paragraph summary over the chapter overall.
