The literature review will be on Radicalization research.
There is growing concern about young people falling under the influence of violent extremists. In Massachusetts, policy makers have set aside $300,000 in funding to implement “Internet Content Awareness Project” which is a high school media literacy campaign to educate young people about violent extremism and terrorist propaganda. It is a curriculum on media literacy that teaches young people how to use on-line media critically, to evaluate and question resources, and to distinguish information that is plausible and trustworthy from information that which is not. They want to test this strategy in 20 high schools to determine if the approach helps students to recognize radical propaganda.
