Read Chapter 5: Evidence-Based Practice in Potter and Perry (2021). Respond to the following questions based upon the chapter:
1. In the chapter, review the section titled “Ask a Clinical Question in PICOT Format.” Write a PICOT question related to a situation or topic of interest to you.
Example: What is the duration of recovery (O) for patients with total hip replacement (P) who developed a post-operative infection (I) as opposed to those who did not (C) within the first six weeks of recovery (T)?
2. In the chapter, review the section titled “Search for the Best Evidence” and “Critically Appraise the Evidence.” Next, find an evidence-based journal article that correlates to your PICOT question. What is the level of evidence? (Fig. 5.2 Levels of Evidence). Provide an explanation of why the article is this level.
3. In the chapter, review the section titled “Nursing and the Scientific Approach.” Using Box 5.3, identify the type of research that your journal article represents and why
