Examine and discuss the circumstances that lead to well functioning health care markets and the factors that contribute to poorly functioning markets such as: revenues, cost shifting, competition, and regulations. I encourage you to look at our current health care system (both public and private) in the United States and to bring in practices elsewhere. Although the textbook covers these factors, the market is ever changing. You now need to fill in the gaps and use the internet and the SUNY Empire Library resources to help you locate online resources that are current (written within the last two or three years) to help support your opinion when discussing this issue and be sure to cite your source!
