Two importance facets of lifelong learning are in the areas of literacy and social justice.
1) In addition to the readings for this module, listen to the video lecturer – Laura Boushnak (February 2015), For These Women Reading is a Daring Act (5:09) – which is also listed on the module’s Overview page. Please note the importance of adult learning in the area of social justice.
2) Google UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning. Scroll down and you will find “Publications”. Select at least one publication to use in your discussion.
3) Formulate an essay that describes your thoughts on the need to look at adult learning from a global and cultural perspective. Also, discuss the place of global adult learning in the field of social justice.
For this discussion you should include about in your initial substantive post and include at least 2-3 resources. You may use a UNESCO publication and your text as two of your resources along with scholarly articles. Please post 1 substantive post followed by at least 2-3 responses and be sure to return to the discussion more than once to fully engage in a dialog.
