CC Case Presentation

Case Presentation

For this RA, you will conduct a case presentation similar to the one you presented in Counseling Internship I RA. This first case presentation will be staggered between Module 5 and Module 7.

The instructor will provide a schedule for when students will present. While presentation due dates may vary, all coursework (case presentation documentation as outlined below) is due in the first presentation module whether you are presenting or not. Therefore, the RA case documentation is due in Module 5.

Tasks:

Your presentation should include the following:

  • One full audio- or video-recorded session (30 min) uploaded in an approved encrypted format. Identify and cue 10-15 minutes of the session for airing in class.  If using a film character, locate and share a representative film clip or clips that will convey the aspect of the client’s presenting issue which you will highlight in your presentation.
  • A redacted Biopsychosocial Report (a written summary of the case). The template provides detailed instructions and examples for the accurate completion of the report. The Biopsychosocial Report, once completed, should be provided to your instructor for review by your classmates and instructor during your presentation. The file is located in the shared files area.
  • A copy of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) Attestation Form signed by you and your site supervisor, attesting to the client’s consent for this project.
  • A completed copy of the Self-Critique Tape form – listed in the shared documents folder.
  • An oral presentation during which the student will address a minimum of three clinical questions posed by the seminar instructor and/or classmates.
