For this assessment task, students are required to access the simulated business case study for ‘Sim’sHardware’. Sim’s Hardware is one of Australia’s largest hardware retailers with 138 stores and approximately10,000 staff across the country. It provides a wide range of products at competitive prices for the purpose ofhome improvement and has been a part of the Australian retail landscape since 1921. Lately, there have beengrowing management concerns about learning and development in the organisation and hence, it is decidedto hire an external consultant to evaluate the current situation and propose a learning and developmentstrategy.Students have to assume themselves as Learning and development Consultant and formulate a report to beprovided to the management including the discussion of current situation, proposed strategy as well as theimplementation procedures. The report has to be written in professional format with no less than 2000 words.It must have proper page number, headings, and adequate references and must include what has been instructed in the assessment.
