Your evidence may take a variety of forms and must be: Authentic – your own workValid – related to the competencySufficient – appropriate quantity and qualityCurrent – recent proof of your skills and knowledge When should I submit this assessment? It is recommended that you submit this assessment by week six (6) of your enrolment. You have six months to submit all the assessments for the Certificate IV in Project Management Practice. Please advise AIM if you anticipate needing more time so that your records can be updated. Use this assessment kit to complete your responses to the assessment, attaching additional evidence and documentation as appropriate. Please ensure all additional documents are clearly labelled so that your assessor understands the relevance to specific parts of the assessment. Assessment Submission and Feedback Submit your assessment online via myAIM. Once submitted, your assessment will be assessed and feedback returned to you via myAIM. You will receive an assessment of either Competent of Not Yet Competent. If you receive an Not Yet Competent assessment you will be provided with one (1) more opportunity to submit your work. If you are assessed as Competent, you will be eligible for a Statement of Attainment. If you are enrolled in a full qualification, you will be issued with a Certificate and Transcript upon successful completion of all of your units. Video evidence You are required to submit video evidence for part of this assessment. Ideally you will upload your video evidence to YouTube (as a unlisted link) and supply the link to your assessor. Seek permission from any participants that are involved and ensure they are aware of the purpose of the video, i.e. to assess your competence in a task. Select a project you have contributed to in your workplace and complete the following tasks. Task 1: Project initiation Review the Project Charter and answer the following questions. If there is no project charter find documentation to answer the following questions. Describe the project background, its purpose, and how it will contribute to the organisations vision and goals.Who is the project sponsor and why would they have been nominated? List the key deliverables of the project.List the key deliverables of the project.List the high-level risks identified in the initiation phase.If you did not use a project charter, what sources of information did you source to find these answers.Submit the project charter and/or other documentation you sourced to answer Task 1. Task 3: Project team meeting Purpose of assessment For this assessment you will be assessed on your interaction and communication skills as well as your contributions to each of the meeting agenda items. Instructions to candidates and participants as to roles carried out during the meeting. Candidate will only be assessed during the meeting as to interaction with other stakeholders and outcomes achieved. Allocated time for conducting this meeting is 15 min.Other stakeholders participating will need to be assigned task and be prepared on topics of discussion in relation to scope and the management of scope for monitoring progress as stipulated within the agenda. Their contribution will form part of the meeting discussion. Your assessor will be looking to see that you demonstrate Clear communicationActive listening and questioning to clarify understandingCollaboration and co-operation with others to achieve a shared goal This means that you will need to discuss each agenda item with your team, not just provide your opinion. Arrange to have a project team meeting to conduct a review of the project outcomes in relation to project scope and the management of scope. The meeting agenda should address the following: To what extent was scope accurately and sufficiently defined? Discuss changes that need to be made?To what extent was the project scope and project scope management clearly communicated and understood? Discuss changes need to be made?To what extent were the performance measures put in place useful for monitoring progress and identifying issues? Discuss and identify areas for improvement.To what extent were the processes in place sufficient for controlling project scope? Discuss and identify areas for improvement.Discuss improvements to be considered for future projects? Submit the following for Task 3: Project team meeting A video recording of the project team meeting. Ideally this will be at least 15 minutes in duration and must demonstrate your participation and contribution. Ideally you will upload your video to YouTube (as an unlisted video) and provide the link in your submission. Meeting minutes showing all the questions having been addressed and outcomes recorded. Task 4: Update scope management plan Consider the outcomes from the project meeting. Re-write the Scope Management Plan for this project that includes changes and improvements you feel are appropriate based on the project outcomes and feedback from the lessons learned. Note: You do not have to create a completely new document, just make changes to the existing one that you feel is appropriate. Submit the following for Task 4: Update project scope management plan The original scope management plan The new scope management plan with your amendments highlighted. If there was no Scope Management plan to start with, you will need to write one (keep it simple). Each document must show version control.
