The purpose of this assignment is to do a case study of an individual struggling with a psychological disorder, adapting the OATTS template (found in Modules….Course Resources).
The individual you choose to assess should have strong signs/symptoms of a psychological disorder, and may be living or deceased. Comorbid conditions should also be identified (if any), and discussed, in “Origin”, with the rest of the paper focusing on what you consider to be the primary disorder.
You can choose one of the following, or somebody else you have learned about through history, the media, readings, etc.: Bruce Jenner, Marilyn Monroe, Robin Williams, Paul Bernardo, Karla Homolka, Howard Hughes, Adam Lanza, Patty Duke, Jim Carrey, Carrie Fisher, Richard Dreyfuss, Demi Lovato, Michael Phelps, Margot Kidder, Lady Gaga, Kurt Cobain, Charlie Sheen. You may choose somebody else, but check with me first for approval.
You will need to determine, using the online DSM 5 guide (also found in Modules….Course Resources), which of the disorders your person is struggling with.
