Complete Goals Workbook
For this task, you will participate in a goal-writing workshop. The objective of this workshop is to help you clarify your unifying principles and practice writing long-range, intermediate, and immediate goals.
To complete this week’s activities, begin by downloading the Goals Workbook. The Goals Workbook is available in both the Time Management tab and the Downloads tab in the Attack Your Day! Northcentral Training Portal. Here’s what you need to do:
- Set up your account.
Go to http://ncuregistration.attackyourday.net and enter your name and email address. You will be redirected to the time management training portal. At the same time you will be sent a password to the email address you entered. You will need this password to access the site in the future. To change your password, simply click “my profile” in the top right corner. You are encouraged, but not required, to set up a profile with your photo or avatar, bio, etc. If you experience technical difficulties, send an email to: ncu@attackyourday.net. - Bookmark the site.
You will be asked to return to the Attack Your Day! Northcentral Training Portal in future activities (and you will likely want to visit the site throughout your degree program), so bookmark it now. - Download and print the Goals Workbook.
The Goals Workbook is available in both the Time Management tab and the Downloads tab in the workshop. In order to complete the Attack Your Day workbooks electronically and submit them, you will need the most recent version of Adobe reader. You can download the most recent version at Adobe website: http://get.adobe.com/reader/. - Watch the videos.
Under the Goals tab you will find several videos. Note that transcripts and audio clips are available as downloads under each video. The duration of each video ranges from about 5-11 minutes. You will complete some of the workbook while watching the videos, so have your workbook handy. While you will not submit this workbook to your instructor for review, you will complete an activity (see No. 5 below) and you will discuss goal-setting concerns in your Week 4 reflection paper. - Once you have completed the workshop and the workbook, complete a short online activity related to goal setting. You do not need to upload or submit your finished workbook to your instructor for review.
NOTE: You may want to consider downloading and reading Attack Your Day! Before It Attacks You. This book is available for free in the Downloads tab. You may order a soft cover copy at a discount ($9.95) by clicking on the link under the download button.
