Your 5 to 6-page Critical Analysis Paper will be based on Parker Rhodes Jewell’s award winning literature texts, Ghost Boys that you will read and discuss in Session 5: Race, Resistance and Liberation. Below are the components of the critical analysis paper and guiding questions:

Using the critical literacy, Analyze the protagonist’s experiences from 2 of the following identity markers: 1) gender 2) race/culture 3) class 4) religion 5) sexuality. NOTE: Please choose direct text excerpts in your analysis to support your argument.

• How does the first identity marker you selected shape the protagonists’ lived experiences and circumstances throughout the texts?
• How does the second identity marker you selected shape the protagonists’ lived experiences and circumstances throughout the texts?
• How do the intersection of both the first and second identity markers shape the protagonists experience?
