The purpose of this communication and conflict management plan is to establish a plan that Team Defenders will follow while performing group activities. This plan allows for our team to establish norms within the project so that all team members are communicating on the same channels. When communication is lacking our team can refer back to this plan to ensure that the group is able to effectively communicate and manage conflict, which will aid in the overall effectiveness of our group. Some of the key elements of a communication and conflict management plan are; the mission statement, objectives, and ethics. Below each section of the communication and conflict management plan is explained thoroughly. Mission Statement: Develop a communication and conflict management plan that improves overall effectiveness within a working environment that boosts the morale of all team members. Objectives: ? To establish group norms that all group members understand ? To recognize that conflict is unavoidable ? To develop a proactive approach to manage and mitigate conflict that arises ? To communicate effectively with all group members ? To learn and practice negotiation skills
