Dream Job Essay
Write a short, personal essay. This essay is the first in a series that will serve as the basis of your Statement of
Purpose/Cover letter Assignment later in the course. The topic for this week is:
What are your career aspirations? Why are you interested in pursuing this career?
I would like a at least two pages essay but no more than 1500 words with no more than 1.5 spacing, 1-inch
margins, 12 point standard font. I would like to see a detailed explanation of what you hope to do in the future
and why you are interested in doing it. What about your background made you interested in this career? Why
do you think it is a good fit for you? What might a perfect day in the life look like for you in your dream job? If
you are unsure of what you want to do, that is OK. Many people do not know until they have tried several
different things. If that is the case, feel free to speculate about a couple of areas that you think are interesting
or might be fun to at least try.
For this essay, it is ok to speculate a bit but you MUST have good grammar and spelling. You will absolutely
need to make sure that you have the time to revise it and correct any issues. It should also have a good flow
and solid writing.
For career aspirations. I would like to become a Medical Doctor specializing in Cancer research.
