Imagine you are working in Hollywood in the early 1940s at RKO. Choose for yourself a job you think you would have that would put you in a good position to observe and hear rumors about Orson Welles and the making of CITIZEN KANE. Write for one of the fan/gossip magazines what you think about the project, Welles himself, and how Hollywood might react to Welles’ work.

HISTORY OF FILM Homework 2

Get the facts right: Possible points: 10

Does the report demonstrate an understanding of Orson Welles’ work and how he was perceived at the time he went to Hollywood?

Demonstrate creativity and ability to apply concepts: Possible points: 10

Does the report combine factual material with creative & relevant details?

Expression: Possible points: 5

Does the report use correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling? Is the report well organized and written with coherence and style?
