Law Assignment
Working in groups of 2 or 3 students, choose one of the following topics and in essay format, with proper case and statute citations, source citations (APA format) and list of references (APA format), provide a thoughtful response to the questions asked. Do your research and add your reflections.
- Length of paper: maximum 4 pages double spaced, not counting the cover page and references page. Font: Times New Roman, 12. MS WORD format only.
- Marks will be given for content (sound research, originality and analysis) and for style and presentation (including correct spelling and grammar, the coherence and organization of your argument, clarity of communication, and proper use of in-text citations and a references page in APA style). Please use the services of the writing lab and of the library should you need assistance. Note that Humber librarians and legal librarians are available to assist with any specialized research needs. - Please submit your paper in Word format (no Pages or other formats please) via Blackboard assignment drop box on the due date. Marks will be deducted for late submissions (5 marks per day). Papers will not be accepted if more than 2 days late.

- An original topic of your choice in the area of Canadian Advertising and Marketing Law. Some areas to consider may be:
- the impact and effectiveness of privacy laws in the context of online advertising and social media;
- legal issues raised by online consumer influencers;
- class action lawsuits and their impact on advertising and marketing;
- explore the legal issues for advertising in a particular sector such as Natural Health Products, Alcohol Products, etc.;
- latest legal developments in advertising and marketing sports and the impact of Black Lives Matter and/or other human rights and social movements
