Assignment: You and your partners will research one of the following topics and prepare a presentation of your findings. All presentations must have at least 3 contemporary examples from the U.S. More examples from outside the U.S. are fine to include also, but at least 3 must be from the U.S.
- Stereotypes in Advertising- how they are used, why they are used, their effect, etc.
- Bias in the media- Omission, Selection of Sources, Placement
- Bias in the media-Labeling, Spin, Story Selection
- Censorship in the media- arts and entertainment
- Censorship in the media-news
- Censorship in the media- Science and education
- Fake news of a political nature
- Fake news as political satire
- Propaganda in the media
You will present your research in a powerpoint/slide show with the following requirements:
- First slide must include the topic and student names
- Each person must present 5 slides of content (slides containing research)
- Each slide must have:

NO LARGE CHUNKS OF TEXT ON SLIDES, NO CUTTING AND PASTING
- Works Cited must be on the last slide
