The topic I have chosen for my Doctoral Study Premise is The prevalence of diabetes mellitus among adults of the urban area of Yangon, Myanmar. The prevalence of NonCommunicable Disease, diabetes in Myanmar was 10.6 percent of the population in adults age between 25 to 65 in the year of 2014 and the prevalence of it a disease was more elevated in the urban area than the rural of Yangon Region (Thi, 2017; Aung et al., 2018)

Is there an association between the location of the urban/rural area of Yangon, Myanmar and the higher prevalence of Diabetes Mellitus? H01: There is no association between the location of either urban/rural area of Yangon, Myanmar to the higher prevalence of Diabetes Mellitus Ha1: There is an association between the location of either urban/rural area of Yangon, Myanmar to the higher prevalence of Diabetes Mellitus.

The secondary dataset I would consider to answer my research question is a study conducted by Aung, Bjertness, Stigum, Chongsuvivatwong, and Marte (2018) called, Urban rural differences in the prevalence of diabetes mellitus among 25–74-year-old adults of the Yangon Region, Myanmar: two cross-sectional studies. The reason this study is selected for my topic is that researchers studied the relation to my research question. My assumption of the finding is there will be an association between high prevalence of Diabetes Mellitus to the urban area of Yangon, Myanm
