speech to state administrators of the WPA. Browse the works of WPA artists and photographers
at the links to the Library of Congress, University of Georgia, or University of South Carolina.
The essays, speech, and links are available in Blackboard. Write an essay (300-400 words) that
evaluates what these images communicate about the United States during the Great Depression.
Your essay should specifically mention at least two pieces, but you may choose any combination
of art and photography. Include the link to the original images that you choose. After
